Love Spells of Old

Love Spells of Old (The "Any Witch Way" Collection) was a free kindle book at the time of this post.

Looking for love? Nowadays, magic is generally considered the province of Witches and the like (if, indeed, it’s considered at all). In times past, however, everyone knew a spell or three; everyone wanted to know if they’d marry, when, and who their future mate might be. Everyone wanted love. So, not surprisingly, many spells of yore revolved around romance. Finding it, keeping it, strengthening its bonds… If a time-honored charm to accomplish such aims were available, who wouldn’t be tempted to use it? As an old adage states, “All’s fair in love and war”—and neither is for the timid.

To the brave souls who seek true love, I dedicate this spellbook. Herein you’ll find old rituals and rhymes gathered like wildflowers from the fields of history. The cream of the crop, as it were—the love spells that survived the longest and were used the most; ostensibly because they worked. Which raises the question, will they work as well today as they did in centuries past? Who can say? Magic, like love itself, comes with no guarantees. Yet love itself is the greatest magic of all. In other words, if you’re feeling adventurous, go for it. You have nothing to lose but your heart.
